Play Store App Transfer Guide (2021) – 2 of…

Did you know you can transfer your Play Store apps to other accounts? Here’s how!

A while back, I worked with a dev to transfer some apps to my account. The process took a while and we had a hard time getting everything together.

Eventually, we pulled it off. But I wanted to get the steps sorted so other folks have an easier time than we did.

For more on this, watch the video below.

NOTE: This tutorial assumes both developers have already set up their accounts to publish apps with the Google Play Console.

Requirements

  • Recipient Developer’s Sign Up E-mail or Transaction ID

Step 1

As the app recipient, check your Developer Sign Up E-mail for the Transaction Id.

Send it to the person who is providing the apps along with your Google Play page name and the E-mail for your developer account.

Step 2

As the app sender, log into the Google Play Console. In the search bar, type “Transfer”

Step 3

Click the Transfer Apps button

Step 4

Enter your full name along with the information obtained from the app recipient account below. Select the target apps and click Transfer

After about a day or so, the new apps will appear under the new developer’s account! To see this in action, watch the YouTube video below.
