Google Needs to Chill, 67 of 100 Days of…

  • by Richard Clarke

This battle with the Google Play Store is starting to get ridiculous.

You can find a video at the bottom of the page and a link to the source code here.

My apk bundle got denied yet again. Apparently my app’s description wasn’t appropriate for the Google Play Store. I got a rejection E-mail saying my app description contained inappropriate formatting.

I get it. Google wants to ensure I’m not stealing sensitive data from users. This wouldn’t bother me, if my initial submission were rejected for the same reason. But this is the EXACT same description I used for my first app submission.

I removed any references to the zipcode, street name, city, etc from the description and included a link to the codingkata instead.

Maybe the first reviewer missed this in my initial submission and this time around I got notified. At this point I think I’ve seen it all.

In the mean time, it’s finally time to start looking into a back end for this app.
